For my Dream holiday, i would like to go to Tokyo, Japan!!

The first reason i want to go to Japan is because it has been my wish to visit Japan someday. Their culture seems peaceful and soothing. It feels like everything will be light and peaceful when u are sitting down under a cherry blossom tree enjoying the nice cool breeze. I have also admire their martial arts like aikido and kendo and many more. I like their samurai sword technique being fast and deadly. Their ninjado is also amazing using shurikens and throwing knifes throwing at a high speed and deadly precision.

The next reason i chose Japan is because of its scenery.

The landscape of their mountains and oceans is beautiful. We would never get to see it in Singapore. Their cherry blossom also known as 'sakura' is also one of their attractions. In Japan, cherry trees were planted and cultivated for their beauty, for the adornment of the grounds of the nobility of Kyoto. It would be nice if one can enjoy their life with their love ones under a cherry tree.

The last final and most important reason that i wanted to go Japan is their FOOD!!!

Japanese food is one of the most amazing food i have ever eaten. Their sushis, takos, soba, ramen and many many more!! Omg all this food descriptions are making me drool! I shall introduce some of the great street food!!!!

First on the line is!!!!
Onigiri

What is this?? It is Japanese rice balls wrapped in nori (edible seaweed). Traditionally, onigiri is filled with umeboshi (pickled plum), salted salmon, katsuobushi or any other salty or sour ingredient. Nowadays, various flavours are available, such as fish, seafood and miso.

Next is~~
Dango

Whats this round thing? It is dumplings made from rice flour and usually consumed with green tea. In different parts of Japan, different varieties of dango can be found. Also, according to the various seasons, different flavoured dango is eaten. Japanese popular culture is influenced by this snack as well

Thirdly is!!! Most of the people should know this
Takoyaki aka our Octopus Balls!!

Dont think i need any description here. Haha most people should have eaten this before.

Dorayaki ( the one doraemon always like to eat remember??)

A flat pancake made from kasutera (castella; a Japanese sponge cake) and filled with sweet azuki bean paste. Dora refers to a "gong", which the confection highly resembles. In the Kansai region, it is known as mikasa

Last on the line is~~~
Daifuku aka Mochi!!

A Japanese confection symbolising "great luck" and consists of a small round mochi, stuffed with sweetened azuki bean fillings, and sometimes fruit, anko or crushed melon paste. Commonly available in two sizes; one about as large as a half-dollar coin, the other huge enough to fit a palm.

Thats all for my dream holiday today!! Cya~~

Accuracy

From what I can obtain, this website is giving accurate information from factual based. References are stated clearly and there are no errors in the site itself.

Currency

Is the information up-to-date? Is it well-maintained?

The tours are constantly updated and promotions are being updated at the right side of its home page. Website is being maintained professionally.

Accessibility

Is the site easily accessible? Does it require registration and log-ins? Are all the information accessible for FREE?

Site is easily accessible and does not require log in and registration if it is only for viewing purpose. But if the user wants to book a tour, he/she must fill in the booking form via online.

Presentation and Arrangement

Information is not very neatly arranged as I have some difficulty trying to find some pages and navigating to some. The navigation bar is a bit too small and users might over look it.

Some of the fonts are too small or not clearly visible to the eye. As for the font colors, I think it is suitable and soothing. However links are over the page and makes it difficult for users to find the correct link.

Usability

On contrary, the website is considered an average website that fulfills most users’ needs. There might be some difficulty for user to navigate due to the not very well done design of the page.

Overall

Information and details is neat. As for the design and layout of the website, I think it would need some changes to make the website more user friendly and more presentable

Practical 4 & 5
During this practical session, we learned how to identify the different types of internet search facilities and evaluate the effectiveness of different Internet search facilities.

I have used my research topic on the impact of online gaming on youths and i used the keywords which are impact, online gaming and youths. We were also told to list the variations to our keywords. After that, we were supposed to write down the search phrases that include the keyword and variations that we listed. We included boolean, punctuation and many more search functions to search.

The line which i used to searched is
“Online Gaming” AND (impact OR effects) AND (youths OR teenagers)

I tried using the same line to search using search engines, meta search engines and also sub directory.

From my point of view and researching, i found out that Search engines meet my searching needs more because it gives a wider range of information which I can filter it out myself. Although it is time consuming, but It is worth the time to find the valuable information that u want to find. Further more, It is better to filter out information out yourself rather then let others or the computer do it as they might filter out the information that you need.

This practical session taught me quite a number of things which i did not know when surfing the internet for so long.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Whirlpool-Refrigerator-with-mini-freezer-and-ice-tray_W0QQitemZ330234538152QQihZ014QQcategoryZ71261QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Price: US $130.00

Why did i choose this? Because its cool to have a mini refrigerator in your room. All you have to do is to turn your chair towards your fridge and u can get whatever junk food or drinks u want instead of getting out of your chair or sofa and walking all the way to the kitchen to get something cold.

Tutorial 1 & 2
From Tutorial 1 and 2, i realized how the internet has enriched our daily life and academic. Before that i would just treat internet as a tool that we use everyday without realizing how it enriched us. I also learned the different type of internet resource ranging from Information, Advocacy, Business/marketing, News, Personal to Entertainment type of resource.

This tutorial is pretty interesting as it made us realize how much internet has enriched our lifes and also showed us the different type of internet resource.

Practical 1 & 2
Testing Testing ~~ Hi everyone. My name is Weiming. I'm from Diploma in Internet And Multimedia (IND) and is the only one in this class i guess. More about me? Hmm i like eating and sleep. Yea like who doesn't. Haha.

Anyways back to topic . The two website links that i found are

http://en10308.blogspot.com/2008/02/gaming-addiction.html

and

http://www.devhardware.com/c/a/Opinions/Online-Gaming-Addiction-Myth-or-Reality

The first link is a personal blog which i have found in the net. This blog show the views of serious online gaming addiction from the blogger himself.

The second link is a organizational website which is under the opinion's section. This site shows all comments and view from the public themselves on what they think of online gaming addiction and the impact on teenagers if they continue gaming this much.

For the first 2 practical session that i have done, it is abit confusing on what i would have to do to obtain good grades but as the lessons go, it became more easy to understand what to do and what requirements to get.
